Legoland

Legoland is in Grapevine Mills Mall. There are lots of legos, a few rides, a 4D theater, and during the summer a splash pad. You can make a combo pass and add on Sea Life Aquarium tickets, which is just across the entrance hall, for just a little extra.

There is a flying type ride where riders have to be at least 36" and must be accompanied by an adult when between 36"-48". This ride is the first thing when you enter and is therefore very popular. If the line is long, I recommend doing some other activities first because the line moves very slowly. There is another ride where riders sit in a car on a track and shoot bad guys with laser guns. There is not a height requirement, but riders must be able to walk on and off the ride themselves. There is also a go-kart style ride. Riders must be between 4-13 years old.

There is a mini-land where you can see legos that have been built into different Dallas/Fort Worth attractions. There is also a soft play area for small children with a mini slide. This was the only area that had the Duplo bricks, all the other stations had small Legos.

The 4D cinema shows movies frequently and there are plenty of seats in the theater to fit anyone who wants to watch the show. There is also a playscape that is ninja themed. There are lots of cool features to the playscape, however it is hard to see the kids behind the themed coverings and it is not designed with adults in mind so climbing up to get a child will be difficult. The coolest feature that is out in front is an electronically rotating hamster wheel.

Plan to spend about 2 hours at Legoland when the splash pad is inoperational, and if you add on SeaLife you could spend about an hour there. For best prices, purchase tickets online before arriving. Ideally this is suited to kids who are either really into Legos and/or at least 5 years old.
