Katherine Rose Memorial Park

This park has a nice playground with lots of swings for different aged children. There are not any shades over the playground equipment so it does get very hot during the summer. There are large trees that provide some shade, but not enough to provide much coverage. The ground is rubber, which is great for younger children. There are slides and climbing structures. The playground equipment even has a ramp which is great for accessibility and younger children who struggle climbing stairs. They have a "tire" swing that is made out of plastic, and a mommy-and-me swing where you can swing while facing your young child. There is a large pavilion near the playground that has grills available for use.

There is a basketball court, sand volleyball courts, and a ton of horseshoe pits. There is a small pond with lots of turtles and a pavilion. In early May there is a rose arch in bloom. The water fountain has a bottle fill option.

There is a .5 mile walking trail around the park that connects to the Walnut Creek Linear Trail. This trail is lovely and well maintained. There are lots of things to do at the park, with more in the works.

The park will be getting updated playground equipment to be more accessible with included shades, along with a splash pad, tennis courts, pickleball courts, new parking, and restrooms. This will extend across Walnut Creek Drive and will be connected by the Walnut Creek Linear Trail which goes under the road allowing people to walk without having to cross traffic.
