McClendon West

McClendon Park West has been recently renovated to include a splash pad. It also has a playground and basketball courts. 

There is a nice pavilion with a grill next to the splash pad. There are shades next to the splash pad but they do not cover it or have any seating underneath. The splash pad is new and has several different features for kids to play. There is a restroom with water fountains next to the splash pad. The splash pad is open April 22, 2023 through October 1, 2023 from 10 AM to 8 PM daily. Labor Day through Sept. 30 from 10 AM to 2 PM weekdays and 10 AM to 8 PM weekends. Is does close for a period of time on Wednesdays for maintenance. The splash pad will be closed until maintenance work is complete. If yellow gates are removed, the splash pad is open. Down a small hill there is a playground. The playground has two different sized play structures for various ages and a rubber ground which is great for small kids. There are not any shades over the playground equipment, but there are some trees that can help provide some relief from the sun. There are swings, slides, and climbing structures. 

Further down there are two basketball courts with additional parking. 

A nice feature about this park is that the parking lot is above the playground and splash pad, which means that kids will not easily run into the parking lot!

ALL splash pads close for the season at 8 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 1.
