Bob Cooke Park

Bob Cooke Park surrounds the East Library and Rec Center. When you approach from New York Ave, that section of the park has a basketball court, futsal court that is lit and can be used for other activities, and pond with a fountain and bridge. There is lots of open green space to play in and picnic tables with grills.

On the other side of the library and rec center there is a nice playground with two sections for different aged children. There are some shades, but it definitely still gets hot in summer. The ground is mulch, so beware for younger children. There are swings, slides, and climbing structures. There is a pergola near the playground as well as some picnic tables with grills available for use.

There are several paths throughout the park, totalling up to about a mile for walking and biking. There is not a restroom available outside, however there are restrooms available inside the library and rec center.

This park is a nice addition to the library and rec center and can be used for a multitude of activities. The library frequently hosts events in the park.

Fountains are turned off in late November/early December and turned back on in late March/early April to prevent serious freeze damage.
