Wild Acre Restaurant & Beer Garden
Wild Acre Restaurant & Beer Garden is located in Fort Worth and is a fantastic place to take kids. The menu is typical bar food, but there is a small kids menu and the soda fountain is Maine Root.
They have a playground with swings, slides, climbing structures, and a merry-go-round. The playground has shredded rubber ground covering, making it easy for kids to play on without getting messy. There are lounge chairs surrounding the playground and plenty of tables under the adjacent pavilion. The playground doesn't have any shade, but the kids can join you under the pavilion and enjoy the misting fans whenever they need to cool down. There are also a couple of tables with swings as chairs that are a huge hit with kids.
Across the pavilion there is a turf area with yard games and giant building blocks. Animals are not allowed on the turf.
There is a huge air pillow that kids of all ages will enjoy jumping on. Shoes are not allowed on the bouncer and you need to be mindful of jumping near others to avoid collisions.
They also have pedal go-karts and a track. There are quite a few go-karts available and they drive well once you get going. You can lift the seat up to adjust it for your height. The kid go-karts have buttons that make various sounds. There is a lever to stop if things get going too fast. Be kind and return the go-kart to the parking area so that it is not in the way of other drivers.
You can order from your table with the displayed QR code, so you don't have to leave your kids for anything other than getting soda or the bathroom. The whole outside area is fenced in, and there are fences around to keep kids in place. There is tons of seating all around, though it does get busy on the weekends. There is also indoor seating available. This is a great spot to hang out with friends while the kids play!
