Vandergriff

Vandergriff Park is a large park with several different offerings. There are baseball fields, practice fields, a skatepark, a playground, and a large walking path. The Allen Bolden pool is also located in Vandergriff Park.

There is a nice playground with two sections for different aged children. There are some shades, but it definitely still gets hot in summer. The ground is mulch, so beware for younger children. There are swings, slides, and climbing structures. There is a large pavilion near the playground that has grills available for use.

There are restrooms in the pool, at the concession stand, and in the community center. However they are only available if these are open.

There are several baseball/softball fields and a concession stand that is open during games.

There are tennis courts and a skate park.

The Bob Duncan Center is located within this park. It can be rented out by the public and is used for various city meetings as well as a polling place.

Fountains are turned off in late November/early December and turned back on in late March/early April to prevent serious freeze damage.
