Playgrand Adventures

This park is easily one of the nicest in the area. Grand Prairie has invested a lot of money into Epic Central and this playground is no exception. The playground equipment is custom built for the park. The equipment is designed to encourage exploration and imagination along with pieces for all abilities. The park has several phases in development with the first three completed.

Adventure Hill is the first playground area on the left when you enter through the main entrance. It is designed to encourage climbing and increases in difficulty as kids go higher up the hill. The huge slide can only be accessed by climbing the ropes. Unfortunately there is not much shade so in the summer the equipment gets too hot to touch.

Adventure Zone is the first playground to the right when you enter through the main entrance. This area is more accessible for all ages, though there are still several high intensity pieces. The tall slide here can only be accessed by climbing a rope structure and is definitely beyond the ability of younger children. This area is designed to have aspects where all ages can play together so that guests with different age children can play together happily in the same area. Notably, there is a wheelchair swing in this zone as well as several different types of swings to accommodate different ages and thrill levels. There is more shade in this section, though if any equipment is not covered it will be hot.

Tranquil Adventures is the newest completed section and is designed to be a little less stimulating. This is more of a sensory and imaginary play area that can be great for kids that want a little separation.

There is a large open field that is next on the list to be developed followed by a section called that will incorporate an existing lake into a water play area. More details about the future phases can be found by visiting https://playgrandadventures.com/the-plan/.

Each playground area has rubber ground which is great. There are many picnic tables throughout the park. Currently all areas are first-come first-served and there is no way to make a reservation. There is a bathroom just past the Tranquil Adventures area that is kept in good condition. There are numerous parking spots, though it can get packed on weekends and evenings. Playgrand Adventures is free and open to anyone from sunrise to sunset.
