O.S. Gray Natural Area
O.S. Gray Natural Area is a small park with a playground and lots of trails. The park was built to maintain the pecan trees planted by O.S. Gray and to provide a protected wildflower area.
There is a small playground next to the parking lot with a play structure and swings. The play structure has slides and shades on top. There are swings as well. The ground is mulch, so be aware for younger children. There is also a little free library where you can pick up a book for free or leave behind books you want to share.
The park has a number of trails behind the playground. There is a paved path as well as some non-paved trails. But beware because there is quite a bit of poison ivy along the trail as well.
Fountains are turned off in late November/early December and turned back on in late March/early April to prevent serious freeze damage.
