Fielder Park
Fielder Park has one of the nicer Arlington playgrounds. The two play structures seem to be very new and provide difficulties for various age levels. The ground is artificial turf which prevents bugs and allows children the freedom to run around barefoot without getting splinters or muddy. The swings are also in great condition and include a parent-and-child swing where the parent or another child can swing at the same time as a small child in the bucket swing. Though there are no shade structures, the trees provide excellent shade over the playground and various benches and tables throughout the park.
The park also includes a basketball court, tennis court, and restrooms. The restroom was the most disappointing part of the park. There is not a stall door to the toilet meaning there is no way to ensure privacy. The main door to the restroom is locked in an open position. Clearly this is something that needs to be addressed. However if you're taking your child to the bathroom you can make sure no one enters while they are in there.
Though one of the smaller parks in Arlington, this park is definitely worth visiting for the playground!
Fountains are turned off in late November/early December and turned back on in late March/early April to prevent serious freeze damage.
