Main Street Garden
Main Street Garden Park is part of the efforts to bring green spaces back to downtown Dallas. This park used to be a parking lot that has been reclaimed to bring nature into the urban center. This park has a large green space, which is currently being "beautified", with a stage on the edge for concerts and other performances. There is a playground that is designed for ages 2-5, but with the various structures older kids can easily enjoy the playground as well. The ground in the playground area is rubber which is great for smaller kids to play on. There is also an interactive fountain that visitors can play in. The fountain is designed to flow like a creek from one edge to the other with some water spouts. There are several large rocks that change the flow of the water, but be aware that they are very slippery on top so kids should be very careful playing on them.
Near the fountain there is a chalk wall and magnet wall for guests to interact with. There is lots of various seating throughout the park from benches to tables with chairs.
There are restrooms attached to the little cafe. They are single stall restrooms. There is a foosball and ping pong table that visitors can use, and they have the paddles and balls to use.
This is a great park to take kids to in the city, and it is nice that the fountain is available when other splash pads are closed.
