Veterans

Veterans Park is a lovely park with disc golf, playground, pond with fountain, amphitheater, pavilions, and nature trail. This park is very spread out and there are two different areas to park. You can park near the playground or go further down the road and park next to the nature trail. 

The playground has two different play areas for smaller and bigger children, swings, and various spinning devices. There are plenty of things for children to enjoy. The ground is mulch and there are only small shades over the equipment though the trees surrounding the playground provide some extra coverage. There are benches around the playground and bathrooms nearby. There are also pavilions with picnic tables, though they are a bit further from the playground. 

In the spring there are bluebonnets growing along the nature trail that make for a great photo op. The nature trail goes through a wooded area and includes a boardwalk over a creek. Kids will also love the pond that has plenty of ducks that follow you as you walk along the path. There are tons of walking trails throughout the park, as well as an equestrian trail. 

This is the location of the only disc golf course in an Arlington public park. It is an 18 hole course and can be very difficult. 

Veterans Park also includes memorials to Arlington residents for their military service.
